You’ll find all of these and more at Robins AFB, Georgia’s largest Air Force installation and industrial complex and home to the 402nd Software Engineering Group (SWEG).

THE MISSION

Staffed with over 1,200 personnel experienced in electrical and computer engineering, computer science, and information technology, the mission of the 402nd is to serve as a premier software provider for the Department of Defense (DoD) and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

WHAT WE DO

The 402nd performs software changes on real time software systems located in various platforms, including aircraft, drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), ships, and hundreds of related systems.

We maintain sites used to remotely control drones and UAVs, build and deploy equipment used to test and diagnose hardware failures in systems, write diagnostic software used on equipment, and deliver enterprise systems and applications that facilitate inventory management and air crew data logging.

Finally, we provide engineering services such as system acquisition, software acquisition consulting, and lifecycle support.
